Calgary YMCA along with Keller Construction Ltd. has started the redevelopment of the Eau Claire facility, again using GEC Architecture, the original architects on the project.  This landmark project in the heart of downtown Calgary had its 20th anniversary this year. The YMCA is responding to the changing and ever increasing usage to do a very significant program of redevelopment and improvements.  Included in this project is a complete upgrade of the building lighting, flooring, painting, gymnasium and finishes along with the addition of exterior windows, new racquetball, squash courts, washrooms, offices and state of the art cardio fitness facilities.  Some of the electrical work is already underway with the major new construction scheduled to start in October.
